Has it been a month since I've added anything to this site? I'll make up for that with a significant addition, a complete copy of the first album I ever appeared on, Familiar Faces, with the Lane Jazz Band under the direction of Michael Rod. Recorded in the fall of 1980 and pressed to vinyl and released in the early Spring of 1981, Familiar Faces serves as a milestone in the history of music education in the New York City school system, being the first actual studio album recorded by a high school jazz band. It's featured here in honor of its 30 year anniversary.
